Quinn Ellis to play NBA Summer League with Portland Trail Blazers

Quinn Ellis has been picked up to play NBA Summer League with the Portland Trail Blazers, starting July 12 in Las Vegas.

The GB point guard will be looking to work his way on to an NBA roster after going undrafted, in similar vein to fellow Brit Tosan Evbuomwan last season.

Ellis had 14 workouts with NBA teams, being amongst the prospects who had the most workouts, and is now set to join Portland for training camp starting July 5.

“Having had the opportunity to work out for so many NBA teams has been a blessing and such a growing experience for me,” Ellis told Hoopsfix.

“I’m sure playing in the NBA Summer League now will be a beneficial opportunity. Excited and ready for what is next!”

The 6’4” guard averaged 8.9 points, 3.8 assists and 2.8 rebounds on 61.0 TS% in EuroCup action this season, including two game winners, before breaking his fifth metatarsal which saw him out for 2 months only to return in April and have an immediate impact in Legabasket games for Trento.

The 2022 Hoopsfix All-Star Classic MVP chose to keep his name in the draft, after initially declaring at the end of April.
